Jay-Z, Bono (from U2), The Edge, and Rihanna teamed up together to release this special track titled “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)” to pay a tribute to the Haiti victims and to raise charitable funds to donate to them. All proceeds from digital sales for the track will be given to support the aid and rebuilding of Haiti. For those of you who followed the blogs this summer, Ellie Goulding was a name you couldn’t escape and to be honest she was probably my favorite female vocalist of 2009. This morning when I opened my email I was pleasantly suprised to see a remix of one of my favorite tracks “Starry Eyed,” which was been re-done by Max Vangeli and dropped on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, January 15th 2010. Max Vangeli is a producer/dj from San Francisco who’s been taken under wing by Steve Angello (who will be in London,ON next Sunday night) and has been remixing tracks for the likes of KasKade, drawing praise from industry heavy hitters like Laidback Luke and Pete Tong, among others.

This track is on its 5th time on repeat for me right now and even though there are Pete Tong vocals on this mix, I can take solace in the fact that this remix will be released, for real, real soon!
